TESTIMONY SERIES: Eastern Equine Encephalitis & Jesus

"There are three of you. There is the person you think you are. There is the person others think you are. There is the person God knows you are and can be through Christ." —Billy Graham

The most powerful testimony in the New Testament is that of Saul of Tarsus. A man, whose mentor Gamaliel, was known to have said that he (Gamliel) was unable to keep him (Sual) in books. A voracious reader and learner. A man that knew the law. A man whose religious zeal (misdirected) surpassed that of all the scribes and pharisees. Yet as he went his way to arrest many of “the Way” on the road to Damascus, Saul had a radical transformation. What made it so radical? It was here that Saul met Jesus. You can read about it here.

Each and everyone one of us that have come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, have had our own “Damascus Road” experience. In the church we call them testimonies. In other words, an account of events leading up to our salvation. Another way of putting it would be our individual ‘salvation stories’. I believe these are the most powerful forms of the Gospel. They are proof positive of the work the Holy Spirit does in each of our lives as a means to reach us, no matter where we are at in life’s journey.

Britt’s testimony will be the first in a series of ‘salvation stories’. My hope is that the Holy Spirit would use each of these as a way of showcasing that there’s nobody beyond His reach. I will never tire of saying that Jesus is in the “restoration business”. There’s no place so low that He cannot rescue you from. There’s no such thing as a question too difficult that He cannot handle. This is what God say about Himself in Isaiah 55:8-9:

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” (NKJV)

God can handle it! After all, He IS God. He did, after all, conquer death. Nothing is impossible for Him—nothing! If God can reach a man like Saul, He can reach anyone! Be encouraged and blessed.
