Well, better late than never! I believe Brian and I sat down to record this on April 1st of all days—April fools! Though I have to admit that at times it does feel as if we’re living in a perpetual “April fools” day. We seem to be living the Words of God from Isaiah 5:20 when He said:
“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (NKJV)
Some of you might be wondering why it took so long to get this conversation posted to Substack, and if I were you I’d probably be wondering the same thing. Let’s just say that these past two and a half months have been a challenge in more ways than one. Mind you, I’ve not asked the Lord for patience—I know better! But the refinement process, at least in my experience, never seems to relent.
Nevertheless, I wanted to get this up because Brian has great insight and Godly wisdom to bring to the table. He and I will be having more consistent conversations in the very near future, for which I am very excited about. As most of you know, there’s definitely no shortage of material to talk about.

At the end of the day, events that will have their eventual fulfilment during Daniel’s 70th week are casting their shadows with each passing day & hour. The news, podcasts, and videos can (and continue to) breed feelings of discouragement, fear and anxiety. The unknown can be a very intimidating and scary place. But, as believers, one thing we know for certain is that God is not caught by surprise, not one bit and His plans will stand!
I speak for both Brian and myself when I say: “Do not worry!” The God that holds you and I firmly in His care is the same God that knows the end from the begining. My wife has said the following many times before:
“Though we may not know what the future holds, we know Who holds the future!”
The day is fast approaching when those that are in Christ Jesus will vanish. We WILL be transformed. We will go from corruptible to incorruptible as the apostle Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 15. We will be transformed—metamorphosed! For those that will be left behind to experience the horrors and devastation that will ensue will not be able to say:
“April fools!”
Let me close with this. Here’s a quote that has been largely attributed to medieval Catholic Friar St. Francis Of Assisi—though there’s no real evidence that he said it—and it goes something like this:
“Preach the gospel and, if necessary, use words” —Attributed to St. Francis of Assisi though not proven.
Honestly, I really don’t care who said it because at the end of the day, it’s an anemic and deficient statement. I know that many within the ‘seeker sensitve’ or ‘purpose driven’ church have used this quote in an effort to sound more spiritual, but the fact still remains that this quote is deficient…unless!
Unless we take two words out and add one in. When we do this, it goes from deficient to sufficient. And here it is. See if you can spot the difference?
Preach the Gospel and use words!
That’s it! I’ll let you think about it.
😁Have A Nice Day!👍🏻
